About
The story of the development of PIEAS is one of organic growth. Over the years, it has undergone several metamorphoses, each of which has radically changed many of its outward physical characteristics, while maintaining a basic continuity in its academic traditions and fundamental objectives. It is an old institution with a new name. The seeds for this institution were sown more than 40 years ago in 1967.
PIEAS is now ranked as the 1st engineering institute by HEC for the quality of its academics. The honor rewarded is the fruit of the priceless efforts of the faculty and the devotion of the students of PIEAS. Adding up to the galore of the institute has always been a major priority of its students so they want it to be distinguished in co-curricular activities also, are working on it and succeeding each day.
At PIEAS, traditionally, the focus has been on education, training and academic R&D. But education is not only an academic facet of one's life; it should also be reflected in the overall personality of the individual. The social intractability, responsibility and civics sense are a few of the important learning objectives that must be gained through a balanced educational system. These ideas define the bases of education philosophy at PIEAS. All such ideas that contribute towards building the personalities of the students are promoted so that they can play their active roles in the service of the nation in particular and the mankind in general. The Student Affairs Division (S.A.Div.) at PIEAS is responsible for all the co-curricular activities at the Institute.
The world is moving ahead at a tremendous pace. An' everything is reaching upto its perfection. In such a situation it becomes hard to live up to the reputation. The fields to excel multiply, to marvel each, demands a higher level of devotion. While the winter is trying to implement the frost in October, PIEAS brings you a platform to finally ignite the flair, present your creativity, live up to your novelty, fathom your flaws and prove your point. NUKTA'12 is a new dimension of creation, at an institute that already shines with an unequalled aura of wisdom and talent. October 13th and 14th, await the talent to make its’ way to greatness.
Achievement is brought upon by a prior achievement. It takes talent to beget talent. The profusion of creativity expected in NUKTA'12 is the outcome of the perseverance of PIEAS Performing Arts Society (PPAS) and PIEAS Debating Society (PDS), who have joined hands to provide you an opportunity to outdo the best.

- All Pakistan, Baqae Medical University, Karachi, 2nd position English 2009.
- Arid Agriculture University, 3 positions, HEC 2nd round, 2011.
- Allama Iqbal Shield, 3rd position Urdu, 2012.
- All Pakistan Interuniversity Challenge IST, 1st position in both Urdu and English, 2011.
- PDC, twin city declamation contest, 2011.
